Location is used only while the app is running.

1.4 Ingredient & Barcode Data

When you:

• Scan a barcode → we query trusted third-party product databases
• Upload ingredient photos → we extract text from the image to analyze ingredients

We do not store images long-term.

• halal certification bodies
• halal verification groups
• barcode and product databases
• mapping and geocoding services

These parties have their own privacy practices.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• provide halal verification
• improve ingredient recognition

• respond to feedback
• detect misuse

We do not sell or rent user data.
